President Droupadi Murmu is set to inaugurate the new Jharkhand High Court building in Ranchi on Wednesday as part of her three-day state visit.
The President arrived in Deoghar via a special flight and received a warm welcome from Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan with a bouquet of flowers.
During her visit, President Murmu's itinerary includes a trip to Deoghar's Baba Baidyanath Dham, the inauguration of the Jharkhand High Court building, attendance at the second convocation of IIT Ranchi, and participation in a women's conference organized by the Union Tribal Affairs Ministry in Khunti.
As a result of her visit to the Deoghar temple, authorities have imposed a temporary ban on devotees' entry from 6 am to 10:30 am, according to reports.
The President's Secretariat shared details of her schedule, stating, "The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will visit Jharkhand from May 24 to 26, 2023. On May 24, 2023, the President will inaugurate the new building of the High Court of Jharkhand in Ranchi. On May 25, 2023, the President will grace a women's conference organized by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Khunti."
Additionally, President Murmu will attend a civic reception in her honor, hosted by the Government of Jharkhand at Raj Bhavan in Ranchi. After her visit to the Deoghar temple, the President will proceed to Ranchi to inaugurate the High Court building in Dhurwa, scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
On May 25, she will address women associated with Self Help Groups in Khunti. Later that evening, she will attend the convocation of IIIT-Ranchi.
It is worth noting that President Murmu previously served as the Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021 before assuming the role of President of India. This visit marks her second visit to the state since taking office.
